From its humble beginnings, Form has been an ambitious and uncompromising project, both for designer Simon Legald and for Normann Copenhagen. The vision was clear to them both – to create an especially comfortable, flexible and aesthetically pleasing chair that could be adapted to various types of bases invisibly, thereby changing the chair’s expression and giving it new life.
“This is another way of seeing the chair. The new upholstered chair gives a better understanding of the Form family as a whole, and shows how the design can move in different directions. Apart from the upholstery itself, we have changed the colour of the moulded connectors, so that they match the legs in lacquered steel, oak or walnut, rather than matching the shell, as they do in the plastic chairs. The effect is still a seamless and natural integration between the shell and the legs, but the overall impression is completely different,” explains Simon Legald.
Normann Copenhagen is offering a wealth of options to customise your dream chair, when five quality textiles and a beautiful and practical leather – all in optional colours – are added to the already comprehensive Form family.
Play with material mixes, colour combinations and contrasts between texture, and create your own unique design. Keep the shades in a single colour, for example with a shell with grey textile and aluminium swivel base for a light two-tone expression.
